The Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim is the canyon's most popular destination for one reason;  breathtaking scenery.

At this rim, you will gaze in awe over the steep-sided canyon that was carved out by the raging Colorado River. You’ll have an opportunity to visit some of the most scenic viewpoints in the entire National Park, including Yavapai Point, Grandview Point, and Moran Point.

This rim, located in northern Arizona, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year making it the activity, transportation, and accommodation hub of Grand Canyon National Park. You can just about do it all here; hiking, camping, helicopter and airplane tours, mule rides and Hummer tours all are available.

At the South Rim, Grand Canyon Village houses many of the park’s most historic buildings and attractions, such as Bright Angel Lodge. This is also where you will find the majority of the Grand Canyon hotels, restaurants, and tour operators.

Since the South Rim is open year round, there is never a bad time to visit. The South Rim is located in the Kaibab National Forest, which is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. From canyons to prairies, peaks to plateaus, this region is strikingly beautiful.
